System Requirements
In addition to a PC connected to the internet, you will need one of the following browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer Release 6.0
- Microsoft Internet Explorer Release 7.0
- Microsoft Internet Explorer Release 8.0
- Firefox 3.x
- Firefox 4
These browsers have been tested running on a Microsoft operating system and grant the full functionality of the IMDS. Only the versions listed on this page have been fully tested and are supported. Higher versions of these browsers may also work.
Other browsers like Safari, Opera or Chrome and browsers running on other operating systems may also be used, but they have not been tested and thus are not supported.
Required browser settings:
Activation of JavaScript, Cookies and style sheets.
Deactivation of popup blockers - messages from the Steering Committee and Terms of Use appear in a popup window that user cannot acknowledge and proceed if a blocker is active.

The IMDS requires a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels with 256 colors. However, a higher screen resolution / colour depth is recommended.
